（觀傳媒中彰投新聞）【記者廖妙茜/台中報導】對於口腔癌術後的患者而言，「治癒癌症」只是漫長康復旅程的起點，許多歷經口腔顎面外科手術、放射線及化學治療的病患，術後因組織纖維化或重建手術影響，張口度僅剩約2公分左右，導致無法順利進食、說話或微笑，因此造成生活品質大幅下降；而一般牙科印模製作的傳統活動假牙，患者需張口達3.5公分至4公分以上的張口度才能完成印模，然而，這對張口受限的口腔癌病患幾乎是不可能的任務。
為解決這項臨床難題，中山附醫自2025年3月起，將數位口內掃描（Digital Intraoral Scanning）技術運用於口腔癌患者術後的假牙重建，同時也是成為全台首批運用於口腔癌術後假牙重建的醫療團隊之一，與傳統印模須使用矽膠材與印模托盤不同的是，數位口掃技術透過光學鏡頭即時擷取三維影像，以高解析3D掃描及CAD/CAM數位設計，即使患者僅能張口2公分，也能採「分區、小角度」的方式逐步掃描，取得高精度的口腔模型，進而製作出符合個人解剖特徵的活動假牙。
中山醫學大學附設醫院文心院區潘裕華副院長表示，引進數位口內掃描技術，在數位流程方面能即時修正模型誤差，減少患者重複取模與交付次數，縮短製作時間，也降低感染風險，不僅成功讓患者在不增加痛苦的情況下，製作出符合個人解剖結構的客製化假牙，截至10月底為止，相關醫療團隊已協助近20位病患成功重建口腔功能，使患者重新享受咀嚼與說話的樂趣。
一位64歲的患者張先生因右上顎鱗狀細胞癌接受上顎骨廣泛切除與重建手術，術後張口僅2公分完全無法正常咀嚼，也因放療的緣故，不適合植牙，而中山附醫文心院區潘裕華副院長之口腔醫療團隊以數位口掃技術搭配臨時活動假牙設計（Interim Denture），逐步恢復其咬合高度與臉型比例，「當患者張先生首次戴上新假牙時，對著鏡子露出久違的笑容，雖然只露出下排牙齒，但患者眼中仍然閃爍著光亮。」中山附醫文心院區潘裕華副院長回憶說道。
該技術的應用，改善了口腔癌術後病患的生活品質，同時呼應當前醫療數位轉型之趨勢，實踐「低侵入性治療」與「以病人為中心」的智慧醫療理念，中山附醫文心院區潘裕華副院長進一步指出，未來此技術將擴展至放射線治療後口乾症患者、顎骨重建術後病患及神經性或臥床造成張口受限者的假牙製作，並結合面部掃描與數位面弓技術，以獲得更高的製作精度。另外，潘裕華副院長強調，這是一項讓精準醫療真正走進病人口中的技術突破，更是象徵中山附醫在智慧牙科與臨床應用整合上的重要里程碑。
